The Red Drop foundation

When Nikki asked me to design a site for her but that she needed something unique, I switched to my thinking gears! Back in the days before starting to work with wordpress – which just won the best Open source CMS award 2009 - when I painfully hand coded every single line, I had worked with an interesting concept of using CSS maps. The catch was, I had never tried this with wordpress and I wasn’t sure how it was gonna turn out. Then I had my Eureka moment when I realized I could simply use a custom menu function instead of the main wordpress wp_list_pages() one. What resulted was the current main look of the Red Drop Foundation website!
For subsquent pages, I used the regular wordpress page hierarchy! Sometimes it pays to think outside the box. The design proved so nice that I decided I am going to use it on the upcoming Janvier Designs WordPress Themes.
